The Licking County Library is thrilled to partner with Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) to provide 24-Hour Public Library Service in the Licking Heights School District. The bookmobile has been serving this area of our service district well for many years. This innovative solution will further enhance public library service to the far western side of the county.
Thanks to the generosity of the Energy Cooperative Operation RoundUp Foundation, the Licking County Library has acquired three Automated External Defibrillator (AED) units for use in a health crises at Main and Emerson R. Miller libraries. The location of the third AED is still to be determined. An AED is a lightweight, portable device that delivers an electric shock through the chest to the heart. The shock can stop an irregular heart rhythm and allow a normal rhythm to resume following sudden cardiac arrest.
