An AARP Driver Safety Program will be held from 1 pm to 5 pm on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Newark Library. The course material covers the effects of aging and medications on driving, basic driving rules, accident prevention measures, and helps participants identify their own specific shortcomings and improve their driving behavior. No written, physical or driving tests are given.
There is a $12 fee for AARP members. Non AARP members will be charged $14. The course is open to all drivers over 50. Please bring your driver’s license and AARP membership card (if a member) to the class. At the end of class, a certificate is awarded which can be used toward an automobile insurance discount.
